Slash: I prefer to noodle in private

Slash has joked he''s a "very private noodler" when it comes to experimenting with his guitar.
The former lead guitarist of Guns N'' Roses is famed for his impressive instrumental abilities. However, Slash isn''t satisfied with his skills and regularly uses his down time to improve.
"Playing guitar is what I do and it''s what''s been driving me through hell and high water for the best part of 30 years. I don''t know how to put it without sounding pathetic but I''m still madly in love with trying to get better at the guitar and making things happen with it," he told Kerrang! magazine.
"I sit and noodle on the guitar pretty much all the time but I don''t drive people to distraction because I''m a very private noodler.
"I''ll noodle on the bus or in the dressing room or in a hotel room but I''ll do it quietly because I don''t necessarily like people hearing me practicing or working new stuff out. I don''t noodle obnoxiously!"
Slash''s other passion is horror movies.
The star has his own film production company called Slasher Films, and hopes to put the "tension" element back into new releases.
"The movies coming out in the ''60s, ''70s and early ''80s had a psychological edge that would really grab you by the short and curlies," he explained. "The gore factor can sometimes be used to cover up the fact that there''s really nothing else there. Even though it''s called Slasher Films, it''s the antithesis of the slasher gore ethos. It''s more about the tension and the drama of what makes things scary than it is about splatter and dismemberment."

P. Diddy takes entourage 50 to Cannes

P. Diddy has arranged for 50 of his friends to fly to the Cannes Film Festival.

The glitzy annual movie event kicked off last night, with the premiere of Wes Anderson's movie Moonrise Kingdom.

Hip-hop star Diddy has moved into film recently and enjoys attending the prestigious occasion. He's known for bringing along an entourage, although it's never been quite as big as this year's.

'Diddy has been a regular at Cannes over the years and is always welcome,' a source told British newspaper The Sun.

'However, this year he's arrived with more people than normal, which has proved a bit of a headache to the people in charge of the guest lists.'

Diddy is well known for splashing the cash when he is at the event.

That is said to be part of the reason why festival bosses are determined to get the group into all the major parties.

'Diddy is good value, though, and his bar bill always makes an interesting read,' the insider added.

Many of Hollywood's elite are in the South of France for the 65th annual festival, among them Robert Pattinson and his girlfriend Kristen Stewart.

They are understood to have forgone an upmarket hotel in favour of renting a villa away from the hustle and bustle of the event.

Among the stars to attend the Moonrise Kingdom premiere yesterday were Eva Longoria and Diane Kruger, who both wowed with their lavish dresses.

Eva's gown was pale pink and covered in crystals and beading. The huge tail was made of feathers, with Diane's mint green ensemble also boasting a long train.

Also on the red carpet were Freida Pinto, Tilda Swinton, Jessica Chastain, Eva Herzigova and Alec Baldwin and his fiancée Hilaria Thomas ' who Alec carried up stairs to ensure she didn't slip.

Jason Mraz interview

Jason Mraz Interview

The American singer-songwriter, born June 23, 1977 in Mechanicsville, Virginia, (that name always makes me chuckle) has slowly but surely won over the world with his particular melange of acoustic reggae, pop, rock, folk, jazz, and hip hop.

Mraz released his debut album, Waiting for My Rocket to Come, which contained the hit single "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)", in 2002, but it wasn't until the release of his second album, Mr. A-Z, in 2005, that Mraz achieved major commercial success.

The album peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 and sold over 100,000 copies in the US.

In 2008, Mraz released his third studio album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.

The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and was a commercial success worldwide, peaking in the top ten of many international charts.

His fourth studio album, Love Is a Four Letter Word, was released in April and sees the singer continuing to ride the crest of this musical wave.

Music-News.com met up with the man himself in the comfortable surroundings of his Atalantic record label to find out why he doesn’t like selling CDs, sunshine is a state of mind, and his personal top three Mraz tracks.

You can next see Jason Mraz in the UK headlining the 20,000 seater O2 Arena on December 1st.

Kim Kardashian wants 'big family'

Kim Kardashian reportedly desires to begin expanding her family 'right away.'
The 31-year-old reality star and business mogul is ready for motherhood.
Kim's father is deceased and she is hoping to adopt a child from Armenia that will pay homage to his memory.
'She feels it would be a great way to honour her father and her heritage,' a source told OK! magazine. 'Kim has always planned on having a big family and wants to get started on it right away. She feels like the early 30s are the perfect time to start. Right now, the timing is perfect. She's responsible enough to be a good mother but young enough that she can keep up with a toddler.'
Kim also desires to deliver a baby of her own.
'She's going to get pregnant,' the source revealed. 'She says she wants to have a biological baby right after the adoption.'
Kim has known Kanye West for nearly a decade, but the pair just recently began dating. The star is reportedly hesitant about asking him to father her biological child.
'She has considered Kanye as a possible baby-daddy and thinks he'd be amazing, but it's still early,' the source said.

Will Smith: My dreams are a reality

Will Smith's dream of 'building a family' around his acting career has come true.
His aspirations have been realised since he became the father of three children. Will has son Willard from a previous marriage and son Jaden and daughter Willow with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. His kids and wife are his first priority.
"The joy [of life now] is watching an idea that I had at seven. coming into fruition,' he told Parade.
'I am actually building the family that I''ve always dreamed about... Building a family around the entertainment business. I love watching my kids and my family blossom from something that was a seed from a seven-year-old''s mind."
Will has tried to keep his children grounded as they have grown up in the spotlight. His youngest kids Willow and Jaden are following in their parents' footsteps by showing interests in acting and music.
"The most difficult part of the whole thing is emotional management,' he said of teaching the youngsters about handling fame.
'To have them connect to the artistry of what they create rather than connecting to the success or the adoration. Jada and I have been talking a lot about pulling back during teenage years because they are very formative.'
Willow, 11, joined Justin Bieber for the European leg of his My World tour last year. She thoroughly enjoyed performing on stage, although Will has laughed he is unsure whether she realised how big the commitment was.
'In the middle of the Justin Bieber tour she saw a Russian ballerina or something and she was riveted,' Will said.
'She wanted to go home and take ballet and it was like, ''No, honey, you have seven more tour dates.'' [laughs] But now she is way gone on ballet. So it''s the difficulty of letting the business go and let them develop in the way that is more natural for them."
Jaden, 13, has risen to fame as an actor after starring alongside his dad in The Pursuit of Happyness and then in The Karate Kid. He is now engaged in some friendly competition with his father.
"Jaden has a little bit of a predatory look in his eye. He is so coming for me,' Will said.
'I tell him all the time, ''Son, I am going to teach you everything that I know and if you work hard, you can be the second biggest movie star in the world.''"

Lady Gaga: Love is terrifying

Lady Gaga admits that her 'career became more important than anything' as she matured. The Poker Face singer had been dating Shameless star Taylor Kinney for about ten months but it has been claimed they have now broken up. Gaga has been focused on her professional and charitable pursuits for years and romance was hard to squeeze into her schedule. 'I dated a couple of older men. Then, as I got older and more mature, my career became more important to me than anything,' she told British newspaper The Sun. 'Anyone that got in the way or was being destructive in my life, I just cut them off and concentrated on my music. Love is still the most terrifying thing in life for me.' Although Gaga hasn't found the perfect mate for her yet, the star won't allow her romantic mistakes to make her bitter. 'I'm still working on finding love,' she shared. 'I know that feeling - that feeling of the impossible. But the only thing I don't have that feeling about is my work. It's not dependent on someone else. At the same time, it is an amazing feeling that you can love somebody and that you can share your life.'
